Here is another attempt at painting. I really need to take a class.

I like to visit the local Value Village thrift shop for old bags so I can reuse the hardware and even part of the fabric. The inside lining and bottom floral fabric is an Amy Butler design. The bird was cut out from a Target dish towel. I will start to make templates of my own designs to paint onto future bags. The strap is recycled from an old thrift bag for now but will make another one later. The goal is go create a bunch of bags where I can just remove the strap and place it on the bag I want to use for that day.

This bag was really easy to make although I still have to work on the strap. The fabric is from Ikea, they have a bunch of great patterns pretty cheap.

i have had my sewing machine for over a year and finally made my first handbag. it was pretty easy. the pattern is an Amy Butler design and i hope to start purchasing some of her patterns. i bought a few sewing books and will start diving into new projects.

i hope to paint twice a week so i can figure out what my painting style is.
acrylic on canvas.

looks like some of these could be made into stuffed plushes!

with spring around the corner i wanted to create a few new things around the house.

Here is a chihuahua pillow I made for my friend Amber! It has a zipper so the cover can be washed.

Here is another stuffed character. This fabric was pretty thick and difficult to feed it through the machine.

i was hoping to render this illustration or do a painting but got bored with it. i am more happy with it being just a concept and moving on to other things.
